Dopamine Menu is an activity app that helps you pick small, feel-good things to do — organized like a menu of Starters, Mains, Sides, and more — so getting started never feels overwhelming. It is developed and maintained by CodeRealities ("we", "our", or "us").
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use Dopamine Menu, why we collect it, and how we handle it. By installing or using Dopamine Menu you agree to this policy.
2. What Data We Collect

3. How We Use the Data We Collect
The anonymous analytics data is used solely to:
- Understand which parts of the menu are useful so we can improve them.
- Make informed decisions about future development priorities.
If you submit feedback, we read it to fix bugs, answer your question, or improve the app.
We do not use this data for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.
4. Local Storage & Your Activity Data
Everything you build in Dopamine Menu — custom activities, favorites, hidden items, tags, and your completion history — is stored in a local database on your device. There is no account and no cloud sync for this data, so it stays with your device and is not visible to us.
If you delete the app, this local data is removed along with it. There is no server-side copy for us to delete on your behalf.
5. Third-Party Services
Dopamine Menu uses the following third-party services, both part of Google Firebase:
- Firebase Analytics (Google LLC) — collects anonymous, aggregated usage events (e.g. an activity was viewed or favorited) tied to a random local ID. No activity content, custom item text, or personally identifiable information is included. Google Privacy Policy ↗
- Firebase Firestore (Google LLC) — used only when you choose to submit feedback through the app. Your message, app version, platform/OS, language, and the random local ID are stored here. Firestore is not used for anything else — your activity data never touches it. Firebase Privacy & Security ↗
We do not use any advertising SDK, crash-reporting SDK, or other analytics service beyond what is listed above.
6. Notifications
If you enable reminders, Dopamine Menu schedules a local daily notification directly on your device using your OS's built-in notification system. These reminders are generated and delivered entirely on-device — we do not operate a push notification server, and no notification content is sent to or from us.
7. Data Retention & Deletion
Your activity data: Stored only on your device. To remove it, simply delete the app — we have no copy to delete from a server.
Analytics data: Anonymous aggregate data retained by Firebase Analytics for up to 14 months in accordance with Google's standard retention policy, after which it is automatically deleted.
Feedback messages: Retained in Firestore so we can review and act on them. If you'd like a feedback message removed, contact us using the details in Section 11 and include enough detail (message text and approximate date sent) for us to locate it — since it is tied only to a random local ID, not your name or email, this may not always be possible.
8. Children's Privacy
Dopamine Menu is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app's feedback feature, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data held about you. Because Dopamine Menu collects only anonymous analytics and optional feedback, there is typically no personal data held by us that can be attributed to you individually.
If you wish to opt out of analytics collection, you can disable it in your device's app settings or contact us and we will guide you through the available options.
10. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the anonymous data that passes through Firebase. However, no system is 100% secure. Because your activity data never leaves your device, the primary protection for that data is your own device's security (passcode, biometrics, disk encryption) — a layer we don't control but that removes the need to trust a server with it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the app or legal requirements. When we do, we will update the Last updated date at the top of this page. Material changes will be announced through an in-app notice.
